2012 Summer Fun!

It's that time or year to think about which activities to sign you children and teens up for. 4-H Summer Fun is a series of educational activities designed to make the most of summer vacation by teaching youth essential life-skills while they are having fun! Summer Fun is open to all youth regardless of prior 4-H participation. Spots are limited and fill up quick!

Davie County Center gives our county's residents easy access to the resources and expertise of NC State University and NC A&T State University. Through educational programs, publications, and events, Cooperative Extension agents deliver unbiased, research-based information to Davie County citizens. Tourism Extension at NC State University is proud to announce the launch of their new website! The site is designed to benefit NC Cooperative Extension Agents and other professionals working throughout North Carolina. The purpose of the website is to provide useful information on a variety of tourism-related topics, to identify additional resources, and to provide a forum to share current news and information related to tourism and extension within North Carolina and beyond. Teen Leadership Conference

The newly formatted Teen Leadership Conference is held in November each year, this year it is November 4 - 5 at the Sertoma 4-H Camp Center. Workshops will focus on teen leadership, as well as, the state initiative: “Hungry to Help”. Ambassador track workshops will be offered, as well, during the Conference. Counties are also asked to bring baked goods to sell during the weekend…all proceeds will go to local food ... MORE

Peachtree Farmers Market Open

The Peachtree Farmers Market will open this Friday, May 4 from 4-8pm and continue weekly on Friday evenings through November. A grand opening is planned for Friday, June 1, when local produce availability starts to pick up. The market is located at 111 Peachtree Lane, on the corner of Peachtree Lane and NC Highway 801 South in Bermuda Run.
