Tom Cowden 4-H Memorial Shooting Sports

Who: Youth can join the club (at the discretion of club leaders) at 8 years old. They, however, cannot compete outside the club events until they are 9 years of age as of January 1 of the current year. Youths that are interested in learning more or becoming better at shooting in a variety of disciplines.

What: Youths who join this club practice and learn about shooting sports in a variety of disciplines. They are taught by certified instructors and learn, most importantly about the safety and care of firearms and bows, and then shooting techniques and practice

When: Meetings are the 2nd and 4th Monday of the month at 6:30 p.m. and at 10:00 a.m. on the 2nd Saturday of the month.

Where: Tom Cowden Youth Shooting Sports Range – 210 Amber Hill Rd. Mocksville, NC 27028

Why: Youth in this club have the opportunity to learn from certified coaches and greatly increase their knowledge. As a testament to their great work and practices, this club has youths that have competed on the National Level in 4-H Shooting Sports. Youth will gain leadership and citizenship skills. This club is active with community service projects and they have been Club of the Year for many years running.
