Homeschool Club

Who: All youth ages 5-18 that are in a homeschool program are welcome to join. This is for youth to learn more about 4-H, other programs in their community, meet other homeschoolers in their area, and grow as youth. In this club, youth learn about a variety of topics from career exploration, cooking, voting, finances, having campouts, science fairs, and cook-offs. They complete service activities and so much more.

What: Youth in this club lead meetings, learn about different things they can do in school and at home. They also participate in other activities through Davie County 4-H. They are always trying new things at each meeting, like completing the Embryology Project.

When: Most Friday’s from 1:30 – 3:00 p.m., Please contact Lana Mitchell for specific dates.

Where: Farmington Community Center. 1723 Farmington Road, Mocksville, NC 27028 (Use the driveway closest to the shelter)

Why: Every youth has unique experiences with their education, homeschool youth are no different. Each child learns a little differently and at a varied pace. This is a place for those youth to share what they learn together about new topics and have the chance to make new friends while trying out new experiences. We hope that you will consider the homeschool club a great fit for your family.
