Are you starting your seeds for your spring vegetable and flower gardens? Would you like to learn do’s and don’ts, and ways to make yourself more successful? Maybe you would like to branch out into propagating seeds of perennials and other plants.
Join Horticulture Agent Susan Hawkins to learn the basics of propagation by seed. We’ll learn how to time the sowing of seed so that transplants are ready when you need them, outdoor vs. indoor seed sowing, and tips and tricks for faster and more reliable germination. We will cover germination of vegetable and flower seeds, and the basics of germinating perennial and some woody plant seeds.
The class will be held on Thursday, February 17, 2022 at2:00 pm. The class will be held in a hybrid format and will be presented both in person and over Zoom. We will meet in person at the Davie County CooperativeExtension Office at 180 S. Main St., Mocksville, NC. For those who prefer to attend virtually, a Zoom link will be provided.
