Description: Join Davie County Master Gardener Volunteers for a trip to Winston-Salem to explore Historic Bethabara. Youth will tour this unique local site to learn about plant growth and garden history firsthand. This day of exploration includes nature walks and garden discovery, with a visit to Reynolda Gardens if time allows.

Description: Explore the fundamentals of marksmanship in our air rifle workshop. Participants will learn the basics of aiming, breath control, and trigger squeeze using low recoil equipment. This session is designed to build accuracy and patience in a safe setting. It provides a great entry point for beginners to practice target shooting and develop discipline without the noise or kick of larger firearms.
Farm to Table

Description: Come learn about the process from the Farm to Your Table! Participants will visit local farms and do activities to learn where your delicious food actually comes from. Participants need to wear closed-toe shoes suitable for farm visits. Program sponsored by Davie County Farm Bureau.

Description: Discover firearm safety and the basics of rifle shooting with .22 rifles in our workshop. Participants will also train with shotguns so smaller youth should be cautious as recoil from shotguns can be wearing. Engage in target shooting to hone skills and reinforce learning in a safe and controlled environment."
Lazy 5 Ranch - FULL

Description: Join us as we explore the Lazy 5 Ranch! This is a privately owned drive-through exotic animal safari and petting zoo featuring over 750 animals from six continents. There, participants can feed animals from a horse-drawn wagon on a 3.5-mile safari, with a walking petting zoo area also available.

Description: Join Davie County Master Gardener Volunteers for a hands-on Botanist Bootcamp. Youth will engage in gardening activities to learn about the science behind growing flowers and vegetables. Participants will practice horticultural techniques and complete a project to take home. This session focuses on the practical skills of gardening through active, hands-on learning.

Grandfather Mountain
