Are you planning to plant trees in your yard, but want to know the best way to do it? Trees and shrubs are a big investment in the landscape. Yet if they are not properly sited and planted, they seldom thrive.

Join Horticulture Agent Susan Hawkins to learn how to select good sites for trees and shrubs, plant them properly, and maintain them. Participants will learn the do’s and don’ts of planting trees, pruning, fertilization, watering, and common reasons why trees die or fail to thrive.

The class will be on Thursday, October 20th at 3:00 p.m. The class will be in a hybrid format and will be presented in person and on Zoom. We will meet in person class at the Davie County Public Library, 371 N. Main St., Mocksville, NC. For those who prefer to attend over  Zoom, a link to the meeting will be provided.

Registration is through Eventbrite. Call 336-753-6100 or email smhawkin@ncsu.edu with questions.
