Do you garden in a raised bed, or are you considering doing so? Would you like to learn better techniques for weed control and how to get a jump on your spring garden? Would you like to learn best practices for raised bed gardening?

Join Horticulture Agent Susan Hawkins to learn how to garden in raised beds, with an emphasis on spring gardening. We will discuss bed preparation, what and when to plant, weed control, and other topics. We will also discuss protecting your plants from our inevitable late spring frosts and using season extension to get a jump on your spring garden.

The class will be held on Thursday, March 17, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. The class will be held in a hybrid format and will be presented both in person and over Zoom. We will meet in person at the Davie County Cooperative Extension Office at 180 S. Main St., Mocksville, NC. For those who prefer to attend virtually, a Zoom link will be provided.
