Cooperative Extension in Davie County and Craig Mauney, Area Specialized Agent, Commercial Fruit and Vegetable Production, for a series of workshops on vegetable production for growers and gardeners. Workshops being offered are Market Garden Production, Growing Greens for Market and Home, and Season Extension. All classes will be held at the N.C. Cooperative Extension of Davie County office. We will also visit Yellow Bell Farm in Mocksville during the second workshop. View the flyer for more information.

Market Garden Production
March 5, 2020 – 1:30 to 3:30 p.m.
Topics include site establishment, crops to grow, and marketing.
Growing Greens for Market and Home
March 12, 2020 – 1:30 to 4:30 p.m.
Topics include cultivar selection, site establishment, fertilization, and pest control. We will go to Yellow Bell Farm in Mocksville, NC for the last part of the workshop.
Season Extension
March 18, 2020 – 1:30 to 3:30 p.m.
Topics include different kinds of techniques and materials, as well as best practices.
